Mississippi Electronic Courts System
Presented by Arthur Johnston, chancery clerk, Madison County, Miss. Many states across the country have attempted to implement statewide electronic case filing and case management systems. Few, if any, have met with success. However, in 2008, the Chancery Court of Madison County, Miss., became the first state court in the nation to be authorized to implement the federal “Case Management and Electronic Case Filing system” (CM/ECF) which has been in use in the U.S. District Courts across the country since 2001. During this webinar, Johnston reviews the history of system, gives a detailed demonstration and discusses the potential for the system’s use in other states.
