SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The NACRC Annual and Legislative Conferences are value-packed opportunities for county recorders, election officials and clerks to learn about the latest industry trends and to network and socialize with colleagues.

The association has created a scholarship fund to provide assistance to NACRC members who otherwise might be unable to attend the conferences. The 2007-08 Scholarship Committee hopes to award two scholarships: one for each conference. Applications are now being accepted.

How to Apply to the Scholarship Program

Please read the following requirements carefully. Applications for the 2008 Legislative Conference must be mailed and postmarked no later than Jan. 25, 2008. Applications for the 2008 Annual Conference must be mailed and postmarked no later than May 30, 2008.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must be NACRC members that have never attended conferences.

Applicant must be unable to get out-of-state travel funds.

Applicant must be actively involved at a local/state level.

Applicant must be nominated by a NACRC member.

 

Application Requirements

The application must be typed and include the following:

Please note that the application should include information from both the nominating member and the applicant

From the nominating member:

  1. -          Contact information
  2. -          Paragraph (250 words max) explaining why the applicant should be considered for scholarship including the a description of the applicant’s history, passion and commitment to the industry

From the applicant:

  1. -          Contact information
  2. -          Paragraph (250 words maximum) including occupation history, experience, why applicant feels he/she should be considered for scholarship, how he/she will apply what is learned at the conference and a clear explanation of the applicant’s need for financial aid.
