| Michigan Association of Registers of Deeds recently met in
Frankenmuth, Michigan. Cynthia Jarratt, St. Joseph County Register
of Deeds was elected President for 2005.
Speakers included: Chairman of the Real Property Division of the Michigan State Bar Association [topics included reasons not to re-record instruments, ramifications of not keeping a reception book] Carol Fogelsong, Orange County Asst. Comptroller from the PRIA speaker’s bureau addressed topics such as dealing with technology issues and why PRIA membership helps; overview of NCCUSL legislation.
Next meeting: November 17 and 18, 2004 – School of Instruction for newly elected officials and Mini-conference on technology |
