In Florida, the majority of the court clerks serve as clerk of the circuit and county courts, recorders, chief financial officers, treasurers, clerk to the governing board, jury manager, paymaster, and property accountant. There is some variation regarding roles between individual counties. Clerk and comptrollers are constitutional officers, elected every four years during the presidential election cycle.
Further, elections are handled by the Supervisors of Elections, a separate constitutional officer, also elected every four years during the presidential election cycle.
